ELAB-080 Software Downloads
Patch: Download Elab-080 Patch Program (Feb 27th, 2007)
Statement of Problem:
The gain for each Channel between the displayed ground and the
offset of the DSO was missing from the calibration tables in some
units. This calibration data is used to keep track of where a zero
volt input signal should be displayed. The Calibration patch
procedure repairs these tables.
Calibration Patch Procedure:
- Attach both channel 1 and 2 scope probes to the ELAB.
- Short the ground lead to the scope input on each probe.
- Start the debug version of ELAB software found on this page
- Make sure the DSO is NOT running.
- Run the DSO Patch (found under the Debug menu, far right)
- The procedure will remind you to short the inputs to ground
- The procedure will run for about 30 seconds at the end of which it will
update the internal calibration tables.
- Start the DSO running on Auto and observe that the ground indicators
and the signal traces are now aligned and remain so as the up/douwn offset arrows are clicked.
The unit should be fully repaired.
Do not use the debug version for further ELAB work as it will have impaired performance for most functions.
*Beta versions can be replaced by installing the previous version of the software.
